Drexel University Online held an awards ceremony on Tuesday, November 9th, in Behrakis Grand Hall South on Drexel’s main campus, to recognize outstanding Drexel faculty. This annual event recognizes those individuals who have made a significant contribution to the field of distance or online learning. “Drexel University Online is proud to honor our outstanding faculty who teach online,” said Dr. Kenneth Hartman, academic director, Drexel University Online. “Their innovative teaching methods and dedication to online learning keep students engaged and connected.”

Approximately 4.6 million students are currently taking at least one class online. This includes over 200,000 K-12 students enrolled in full-time online schools and over 2 million K-12 students enrolled in an online course. During the week of November 8th through 12th, schools, colleges, businesses and government agencies across the country showcased their online programs.
